We think of them as our people, equals,
We travel to far lands figguring out how to save rare species from
extinction.

PETTING ZOO
There are those of us walk our own path, but never alone.
Theres those of us that love animals.
We are happiest when with them.
We spend most of our free time and extra money on them.
We would be lost without them.
not as some non-thinking un-feeling thing.
We dont need to search the stars for signs of life,
as we have our hands full with life here on earth.
We are too busy appoligizing for the uncaring ways of other humans.
We rescue animals that human economy discards.
We are the keeper of animals at your zoo.
We work in or own your local pet store.
We are the dog owner down the street.
We may be your neighbor.
Watch me and you might find passion,
Listen and you might understand
this is some neat stuff that seems to have followed me home,
some answers ive found,
a release for my artistic expression,
just some bits and pieces of a larger whole.
